Carousel games are a type of digital games in which the clues are not associated with any given locks. This differs from the sequential/non-sequential digital games in which each clue is presented with a specific lock type. In carousel games, students are presented with the clues in the center of the screen as well as the number and types of locks just above the keyboard. Students match a clue to a lock type when they believe they know the solution.

Carousel games give students a digital experience that mimics the kit-based game experience of having to determine which clues are associated with each lock.
